Problem
The demand for Geotab’s telemetry devices suddenly skyrocketed, scaling into millions of units per year. Their existing contract manufacturers could not keep up with the demand, limiting Geotab’s opportunity to grow.
Solution
Geotab hired us to consult on developing high-reliability test fixtures that were manufacturer agnostic, allowing them to stay nimble while scaling up production. We also provided an ongoing strategy that Geotab could implement when developing scalable test solutions for manufacture.
Result
We understood that time was of the essence and collectively rolled up our sleeves to provide a manufacturing test solution and strategy that would meet our client’s aggressive timeline. Our approach included developing a test fixture capable of testing the software on up to four Geotab devices at once, thus speeding up the manufacturing test process. Today, Geotab can keep pace with demand and now has an imbedded infrastructure that supports ease of scalability.
